Three Countries. One Vision.

Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the German Society of Nuclear Medicine, the Austrian Society of Nuclear Medicine and Theranostics, and the Swiss Society of Nuclear Medicine, it is our great pleasure to invite you to the 2027 Trinational Congress in Leipzig.

From 7–9 April 2027, Leipzig will become the meeting place for the nuclear medicine community from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Under the motto "Three Countries. One Vision.", we aim to celebrate the close ties between our three professional societies while looking ahead to the future of our discipline.

Nuclear medicine is currently experiencing an era of extraordinary momentum. Innovative radiopharmaceuticals, novel theranostic concepts, advances in molecular imaging, and the increasing integration of digital technologies and artificial intelligence are opening new horizons that will shape our field for years to come. Yet the challenges we face do not stop at national borders—nor does scientific progress. This makes exchange, collaboration, and mutual inspiration more important than ever.

Our Trinational Congress embodies this shared commitment. It brings together scientists, physicians, medical physicists, radiochemists, radiopharmacists, medical imaging technologists/radiographers, and our partners from industry and research. Together, we will discuss the latest developments, generate new ideas, and actively shape the future of nuclear medicine.

For us, "Three Countries. One Vision." also reflects our commitment to the international nuclear medicine community. For the first time, the 2027 Trinational Congress will feature a dedicated English-language programme running throughout the entire meeting. This initiative will provide an enhanced platform for scientific exchange across national and linguistic boundaries, foster international collaborations, and create additional networking opportunities, particularly for early-career researchers. At the same time, it will strengthen the international visibility of our research and our discipline, helping innovations from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland reach an even broader global nuclear medicine community.

Leipzig provides the ideal setting for this event. The city combines a rich scientific heritage with innovation, international outlook, and cultural diversity. As one of the historic centres of German-speaking nuclear medicine, Leipzig uniquely connects the past, present, and future of our specialty.

We look forward to welcoming you to an outstanding scientific programme, stimulating discussions, interdisciplinary exchange, and valuable personal interactions with colleagues—not only from our three host countries, but from across the international nuclear medicine community. Let us seize this opportunity to learn from one another, establish new collaborations, and further advance our shared vision.

We look forward to welcoming you to Leipzig in the spring of 2027.

With our warmest regards,

Congress Executive Committee of the 2027 Trinational Congress
